Always wait 1 or 2 hours after eating a heavy meal, or take a very light breakfast, and train about 30 min later, but have some black coffee before entering the Gym.
Your Trainer will make a routine for you, with both Cardio and Weight exercises, these can take up to 40 min and 1 hour to complete for a beginner 3 times weekly.
I like to train before breakfast on a black coffee.
